Michelle came out to my home to talk about Peter with me, to discuss the options open to me and was so very thoughtful, caring and professional. In the end, because we donated Peter's body to UTS for surgeon training we didn't need to have a funeral per se or a funeral director, but Michelle still willingly helped me to coordinate my slideshow and music, worked with St Marks church to make sure everything ran smoothly and made the beautiful commemorative book marks for everyone who came. After the sudden passing of my father in law recently, we were referred to you & your team at Dwyer Family Funerals & from the moment we called & spoke to Michelle we were instantly at ease, knowing that we would be supported in what is one of the darkest moments in ones life. Michelle is compassionate, caring & understanding & she has a special way of making people feel comfortable & supported during these dark times. Michelle was accommodating & met with us the same day we had reached out & even stayed with us for a few hours, leading late into the night to ensure we had all of the information we needed to make sure my father in laws funeral was the best it could be. From that initial meeting with Michelle, right up until the funeral service, Michelle was always contactable & continuously checked in on us to make sure we were ok & knew where things were at. Within less than 24 hours of contacting Michelle, she had arranged to pick my father in law up from the hospital & transport him into their care, which was so important to my partner. To know that Michelle, John & the team from Dwyer Family Funerals could handle everything from start to finish, including the flowers, order of service pamphlets & even assisting us with securing a beautiful location, took so much stress off our plate. When it came to the day of the funeral, we were not sure what to expect. Michelle not only coordinated a beautiful service, alongside her husband, John & their team, but she also acted as our celebrant/MC for the service & we could not be more appreciative & honoured to have Michelle speak on our behalf. Michelle was confident & clear during the service & took the extra time to get to know my father in law, my partner & our family & really personalise her speech to ensure everyone was included.
